Vibrant Indian Wedding
in Los Angeles
Indian weddings are some of the most incredible celebrations to photograph, filled with color, movement, meaningful traditions, family, and moments happening everywhere at once.
For this wedding, I focused on documenting the day in a way that felt natural and energetic, capturing not only the major traditions and formal moments, but also the smaller interactions happening in between. The hugs, laughter, reactions from family, quiet pauses, and all the little pieces that make a celebration feel personal.
With Indian weddings, timing and planning matter especially because there can be so many meaningful moments throughout the day. I always recommend building a photography timeline that leaves enough room for the traditions that are most important to you, while also creating space for family portraits, couple portraits, and the unexpected moments that happen naturally.
If you’re planning an Indian wedding in Los Angeles or Southern California, I also recommend talking through the timeline with your photographer early. Larger celebrations, multiple traditions, outfit changes, and different locations can all affect how much photography coverage is needed, and planning that in advance helps the day feel much more relaxed.
My approach combines documentary photography with gentle direction. I’ll step in when we need to organize family photos, create portraits, or keep the timeline moving, and then step back when the moment is already unfolding beautifully on its own.
Whether you’re planning a traditional Indian wedding, a multicultural celebration, or a wedding that brings together different families and traditions, my goal is to photograph it in a way that feels honest, personal, and true to the people at the center of it.
